The first-ever BRICS beauty contest will bring together 17 countries in Kazan
Dima Bilan, Klava Koka, JONY and others to headline the BRICS countries beauty contest in Kazan
The first large-scale Miss, Mrs, Little Miss BRICS 2026 beauty contest in Kazan will take place in a unique format from March 1 to 8, 2026. This was announced by the contest’s president, Dinara Salyakhova, at a press conference held at the central office of the Interfax news agency on February 18.
“In Russia, an international beauty contest of this format is being held for the first time. Our team wanted to create something of our own, where girls and women would compete for the title of the most beautiful woman, young lady, and girl. Never before has a beauty contest been held in three categories at once: Miss, Mrs, and Little Miss,” said Dinara Salyakhova.
The contest will bring together representatives from 17 countries: Russia, Brazil, India, China, South Africa, Indonesia, Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Thailand, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and the UAE.
A total of 51 contestants will arrive in Kazan. Each country will be represented by three national titleholders — Little Miss, Miss, and Mrs (married women with children).
The mission of the contest is to present beauty as a cultural code and a human potential capable of uniting countries, generations, and values. The project helps reveal female leadership through respect for tradition and a modern perspective on the role of women in society. “Our main goal is to share our traditional values, showcase our talents, and demonstrate our beauty. <...> We unite the ideas of kindness and creation. This is a significant event not only for Kazan but for the Russian Federation as a whole. When people come to us and see how peacefully representatives of different nationalities and faiths live in our country — that reflects the highest meaning of humanity’s existence,” said Leyla Fazleeva, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The grand opening will take place on March 2, featuring performances by ZIVERT, MONA, and DINARA. The closing ceremony on March 7 will see performances by Dima Bilan, Klava Koka, JONY, Olga Seryabkina, and many others. In addition to the competitive program, participants will attend educational sessions, including master classes in etiquette, photo posing, vocals, and makeup artistry. Contestants will be evaluated daily throughout the entire contest. The jury will include celebrity experts. Singer, songwriter, and jury member Olga Seryabkina noted that the new international contest will serve as an inspiration for Russian women. “It is truly an honor to be part of the jury, but also a great responsibility. I believe that holding this contest here in Russia, in Tatarstan — in the magnificent and beautiful city of Kazan, which I love dearly — is a breath of fresh air and inspiration for many beautiful women in our country. I think our contest will prove that,” commented Olga Seryabkina. Honored Artist of Russia Mark Tishman, who also joined the jury, emphasized the unifying mission of the competition and its role in promoting Russian culture abroad. “I always attach great importance to the concept of ‘soft power.’ Soft power is art. Soft power is sport. Soft power is, of course, beauty and hospitality — and, let’s be honest, largely embodied by our women. <...> Around this beauty, around the incredibly hospitable Tatarstan and Kazan, all BRICS countries and all BRICS beauties will unite today. Then they will return to their home countries and share their experience of Russia and Kazan — and that is very important,” shared Mark Tishman, jury member of the BRICS beauty contest.
